Founded in 1995, AUAS is known for practice-oriented education, high-quality teaching and strong applied research, supported by close cooperation with local and international companies.

AUAS enrols more than 4,000 students in 32 degree programmes across three faculties, with around 130 professors and lecturers, 7 institutes and 50 laboratories. It offers applied bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programmes in engineering, business, law and health, including several fully English-taught programmes. Applied research funding reached €8.2 million in 2022/2023.

TH Aschaffenburg is strongly engaged in international cooperation. It was a partner in the EU Strategic Partnership project PROMINENCE, together with the University of Savoie Mont-Blanc and the University of Economics in Katowice, and hosted an Intensive Programme. AUAS is also a consortium member of the European joint Master MERCURI, and coordinator and partner in several Blended Intensive Programmes (e.g. Practising Cultural Intelligence and Brandygame in 2024). In addition, it maintains long-standing ERASMUS agreements with all project partners and collaborates on double degree initiatives and ERASMUS teaching mobility.
